It’s too bad, as I enjoyed viewing the cakes that made up the competition each year at the Tulsa fair. Ms. Vincent ran an excellent production, and the themed cakes often were stunning in their beauty, execution, and sheer breadth of imagination. But my favorite were the “whimsical” cakes, which often had me chuckling out loud with their droll audacity. RIP.
