I picked up 500 roumds of .45 ACP at a flea market in Missouri. It was old military stock FMJ with a headstamp date of '53. Thought I try a clip in my old Colt. I'vd gone through about 100 rnds so far without a misfire. Similarly, my 93 year old father-in-law was in the Marine assault on Tarawa Atoll on November 23, 1943. He gave me and old Japanese rifle and a box of rounds he mailed back to his brother disassembled and wrapped in a stack of coffee cans. I cleaned and reassembled the rifle and fired 5 original rounds through it with no mishaps. I don't make a habit of this behavior, but just had to try it. This is my first post on okshooters. I have learned quite a lot of info from the site. Thank you OK.
