I bought a previously loved Leupold 3-9x40 VariX-II at a gunshow, in '84 for $40, no idea how old the scope was. Put on a just acquired Ruger Mk-II 77 7mm Rem Mag.
Used it extensively until '2010, when the cross hair broke.
Put a Simmons scope on and sold rifle.
Got a vintage Win M70 .30-06.
the Leupold and sent in. 3 weeks later, a brand VariX II 3-9x40 gloss scope arrives. Leupold LIFETIME warranty is no joke.
