Friend brought this to me and asked me to sell it.
It is an old Ithaca hammerless SxS, I believe the barrels are Damascus, it does not fire and has dead triggers, it’s definitely got some wear/handling marks on the buttstock but all in all it would make a great wall hanger man cave decoration etc.

Yes those are twist steel barrels and should not be fired with smokeless loads. I have seen a few guys use low power field loads but I would not do it as I have also seen one blow.

I’m only passingly familiar with the 32ga which was used with dust shot in the early 19th century to collect specimens during expeditions. I’m not at all familiar with the 22ga but definitely curious. Maybe start a thread in shotguns?

My typo mistake by not proof reading before hitting the post button.
It was a 12 ga Damascus model sold in lots of hardware stores back in the day. Sorry for the misinformation.
I’d certainly love to hear more information about the 32 ga and the dust loads.
That sounds like great information.
