Corn adds thick, yellow fat. Natural fat is white. Grass fed has better flavor, and is healthier for you. My pasture has wheat, rye, oats and barley mixed with bermuda and prairie grass. They eat well, year round. Most producers shy away from dairy crosses because of less meat yield. Yet, angus/jersey cross is the best tasting beef. 2 biggest factors in buying a whole (or even a half or quarter) is $$$$$. You are looking at $2000 +/-. Then, you need storage for it. Plan, save and you will have quality beef for the price of hamburger.
