That's a good question, Zaphod. This one is pretty ornate and delicate, so I doubt that it was used in a combat situation. It was most likely utilized in a ritualistic function, or even as a status symbol for one of the more prestigious warriors or chief, or could have been a presentation piece.

Very interesting. Our tribe has French connections.My mother has visited there a few times.

Our tribe has found a treasure trove of our history that has been stored in a Jesuit monastery in MO. Theyre in the process of arguing about how to preserve the very old documents and articles contained in the collection. Alot of our history that was previous unknown has been found, including passed down stories about going on hunts to kill 'hairy elephants'.
