[QUOTE="nofearfactor, post: 804324, member: 1535"] I do not think that people have to register their body parts as 'lethal weapons'. Hasnt this always been an urban myth? My older brother is as high as you can get in his martial art and teaches in his own schools in California and we have always joked about this. But,as a current or former professional fighter or practicing martial artist, it is like carrying a gun with a permit-you are at greater liability when getting into it with other people. You carry the greater force against another person regardless of who started the skirmish. Same as if someone 5'4" 110 starts something with someone 6'4" 210. The bigger guy should just laugh and walk away. As far as the OPs question- just walk away. Or if you cant, try to stash the gun with someone as discreetly as possible, and protect your self. Derrr. Then explain it all later to a cop or a judge or to your lawyer. Whatever. (You really think (RKL) I am going to roll up in a little ball like a little ***** and just LET someone beat my azz? Lolllllll). IMO,which doesnt mean much (about .80 cents) ,its just not smart to get into it with people. People are way more litigious today than they were when we grew up. (Unless there are no witnesses, then by all means,**** somebody up). Things just dont get settled with your fists any more like they used to be. They will draw you into a situation then when the fight is over and you have beat their ass, then sue you for their hospital bills, or worse. I have worked way too hard just to hand over someone (besides a wife divorcing me) the keys to my house and fork over my hardearned money because of a stupid fight. Same as with a gun. I got my CCW just to be able to survive an attack by someone else with a gun. Unless someone is bigger than me- I'm only about 5'10"x 265 w/ 17" arms and 17" neck- I am going to do all I can to get out of the situation. What you other badboys do is all your business. Laugh if you will, but my invitation to box someone a few rounds in a controlled environment has cooled a lot of hot heads off over the years.
