Still waiting VC3 and my Area 419 rail for the Tikka, so I decided to get some data on the chamber. I have some Hornady 147 grain ELD-M's that shot really well in my Bergara and the two hogs I shot with this load in my Bergara, did a number on them. I have a few hundred of these so that will be what I will start with. Jam is 2.909" COAL or 2.264" off the O-Give. Hornady is calling for 2.800" COAL for this in a factory loading. .109" room in my chamber for this bullet. Will jump them .020" to start with and work up some charges of H4350. My Bergara HMR jam was 2.955" COAL to jam and I ended up with 2.878" COAL for the best load I found over 39.7 grains of H4350. Jumping .077". That gave me just over 2600 FPS out of a 22" barrel. When I did this testing on the Bergara, I found a nice node on 41.5 grains of H4350, but ran into pressure signs early when I hit a jump of .096". I had to stop and pull the rest. Cratered primers and an extractor groove that made me toss the brass. Worked on another node at 39.7 grains of H4350.
