Prepped another few pieces of 6.5x47 brass. Shot the final test loads trying to dial in a hunting combo Thursday. ***** Best I'm going to get at 100 yards with the 120gr Nosler BT looks like it is going to be in the .6 - .7 range. If it will hold at a reasonable distance (~ 300 - 350 yards), I'll be fine with that. It certainly isn't my primary hunting rig...more like side door rig during rifle season, or maybe the occasional coyote. Strangely enough. My 120gr Scenar-L load and 120gr NBT load are almost twins. The only difference is primer (which I may just have to test). Same 36.0gr of N150 with a +/- of .1gr without suffering any accuracy loss. COAL is within .005, and CBTO within .010. Velocity is also within 20 FPS, and my POIs on the target are within 1/4" at 100 yards. The biggest difference is that the 120gr Scenar-L shoots groups almost half the size, along with an ES and SD to match. Definitely going to have to give the BR-4 primers a try (instead of 450) with the Noslers.
