Finished lubing the pile of cast bullets for the Finn M39s. Weight separated, the two bins on the left are about 55 pieces each. I separate them to +/- .5 grains. The bin on the right is about 450 pieces. 192gr +/- a half grain. A pic from the side to show how many there are. 8 layers deep. Each one was picked up and placed into the Lyman 450, then picked up out of the same to be stacked in the bins. As if right now I have handled each individual bullet 6 times; one at a time. Keep that in mind when I tell you how cheap they are. Looking at supply replacement cost, not what I have in it, each bullet is about 4¢. The cost of the gas check (~4¢ each) doubles the cost of the bullet, now at 8¢ per bullet. A bit for lube generously charged at a penny per bullet, I'm still under a dime each. About 550 bullets for under 50 bucks. And easily 10 hours of time. 3 hours to cast - including setup and teardown of equipment - at least another 6 hours to sort, size, check and lube. Is it worth it? It is to me.
