What to build?

I stated in an earlier thread i didn't need anymore rifles, then Aero Precision came out with builder's kit in Noveske Bazooka Green, upper/lower/rail. I couldn't resist, got it today, it's not rocket launcher green but more of a parkerized look. Now I have to build something on an AR15 platform, i will not even consider a 300 black out. i have 6.8's, 556's, x39's. i'm thinking an 18" 556, or maybe the Noz24 when it's available. any suggestions?

The Noz22 looks interesting but I've been considering the opposite end of the scale, a 458.

I started this search awhile back.
The small waspy calibers were all interesting, but my .243WSSM trumps pretty much all of them. Looking at thumpers, I just don't have a need for one.
Upper and lower still sitting in the safe.

If you can shoot a 20g with field loads out of a single shot break open shotgun, you can handle the .458 SOCOM.

I've shot a 458 SOCOM and own a 375 SOCOM. I've only put a few rounds through the 375 but neither has a much recoil as my shotguns. Maybe halfway between a 5.56 and a shotgun.

Drop is one reason I chose a 375 over 458. I want to do some hog hunting wit it. The 375 is fairly flat at 150 yards with supers and still have done decent sub-sonic performance.

no, not interested in building a large caliber AR. hogs can be DRT with the 6.8. i reload so any caliber i build up will require affordable components. altho i've always wanted an H&H 375 nitro double rifle LOL
