Wtb O/U 12ga

A friend’s wife is wanting to get a nice over/under 12ga for her husband (my friend) for Christmas. She’s wanting to stay around the $500 mark. Obviously she’s not going to get a browning or Benelli at that price point but is hopeful and preferably something with a wood stock not synthetic. It’s a reach, but I appreciate all. They are around the Piedmont area. Thanks.

i believe Stoeger has a few models around that price range too. I know a few with Stoeger semi autos that are very happy with them.

Any input on them? Not an avid shotgun fella myself so that’s a new name to me, may just be out of the loop.

I had a Yildiz o/u. They’re light, kick hard and the one I had would fire both barrels at once occasionally. It was an issue with the older ones.

I sold it to a friend and he claims it still works fine but it still fires both barrels at once occasionally.

The newer ones may be much improved. They’re made in Turkey.

Bought my son one of these. They’re lightweight and he loves the 555E. The “E” is the enhanced version with some scroll work. The price is pretty close to your target. Have a good Christmas!
