It is a fairly narrow, two lane tunnel, so if vehicles get over a certain size, they have to have a permit to go through the tunnel. And, if they are big enough, they have to close the traffic from the other direction so that the oversized vehicle can go through by straddling the center line. Anything that is 13'1" tall can't go through at all. Because the tunnel is fairly narrow, when a vehicle going the opposite direction from us neared the center line, the wife moved right and rubbed our tires on the curb that is at the edge of the road.
