Most Satisfying Ending to a Movie or TV Show?

Was browsing over on Fecesbook and this topic came up. I'll have to agree with one of my favorite authors (Michael Z. Williamson), that the movie Dead or Alive just does it for me.



What movie or TV show just gives you the grins or shivers, when you get to the ending?

I dunno; it’s hard to top Newhart for a series ending when he wakes up in the bed next to Suzanne Pleshette on the Bob Newhart Show set, but I think the end of the Magnum PI episode Did You See the Sunrise? might just be the best episode ending ever.

The Israelis get it done.

I remember the scene in that movie,,,
Where they were all in the transport plane.

When they all started singing that 2,000 year old battle song,,,
It made me understand that they were from a "biblically" ancient lineage.

I had a in-law great-uncle who was a paratrooper during WW-II,,,
He said there was one man in his troop who always sang n the airplane,,,
And that after he started singing his song, everyone else would join in until the drop.

For some reason his story stuck with me,,,
When I saw that same scene in "Raid on Entebbe" I was somewhat moved.

If you are into Science Fiction TV,,,
The three Stargate series (SG-1, Atlantis, Universe) are a great binge.

But in theme with this thread I must give a huge shout-out,,,
To how they ended Stargate: Universe.

I won't spoil it for anyone who might actually watch all 17 seasons,,,
I'll just say that I was totally enthralled by the finale.

The final minute is very well done theme music,,,
That slowly takes you through the final visual fadeout.

The first time I watched I remember giving a big sigh when the final fade to black happened,,,
I think I was holding my breath a little bit,,,
Or at least breathing shallow.

It was the best produced Series Finale Cliffhanger I have ever seen on TV.

I'll shut up now,,,

The Accountant with Ben Afleck.
I'm no Ben Afleck fanboy but I really like this movie. How does an autistic kid find a place in the world to use his talents.
The very last 3 or 4 minutes is really good, a lot of things come together.

I never went in for fantasy.

I really enjoyed Battlestar Galactica (2004).
I thought the ending was satisfying.
