This blows. Red Castle is too far away for me anyway, but at least I can go shoot at 2A any time I want.

Plus, I heard that the Red Castle indoor range was going to be .22 only

Red castle's indoor range is at 11th & zunis (lewis) less than 3 miles from 2A.
we have 2 ranges there. 1 is 22lr rated with 7 firing points and has been open 10 years.
the other is centerfire 19 firing points out to 25yards which opened this week.
next year remodeling/construction will begin on our new airgun ranges. (we already bought the building.)

Have you ever seen the Red Castle facilities? Yearly membership dues include the cost of NRA membership. So, taking that into account the yearly fees are pretty hard to beat around town. IMO

I second this. Where else in the area can you shoot targets at 600 yards any time you want if you don't own private land (and in many cases, even then)? The other ranges - small-caliber, pistol, bench rest, plinking, shotgun, and yes, even the cowboy action that bumped out the tactical bays - are excellent options. The area is indeed a long drive for those of us who don't live by the ranch, but with good planning it's still a worthwhile venture.

I have been a member since I retired and am able to go during the week, hardly ever anyone there, if you live on the east side of Tulsa getting there isn't too bad if you take the Highway 11/Gilcrease Drive route instead of going thru Sand Springs.
