Way to go Mitch. I have tried to get one with the M1 and the M1 Carbine but have not had the right shot to make it happen. I need the deer to come out with lots of light to see the sights well enough to use those peeps. I loaned one of my employees a .30-30 that someone on here sold me and he got this buck tonight...his first deer.

Kid from my church got this one today with a nice little .243 I got from Oneshot and sold him last year. This is his 2nd buck in 2 years with the rifle. He loves it.

One of my best friends boys got these does this morning. He shot once and the doe ran and he thought he missed her and shot at another one. Got down there and had hit both well.

Thanks buddy. I still have 2 doe rifle and 1 doe bow(can buy one more) left to fill, so I may be out there again early next week. The place I hunt is pretty plentiful in deer. It's a large private lot inside another much much larger private lot. Only downfall is that it's 1.5 hrs away, and 30 bucks a day to fill is getting pretty expensive.... I do enjoy it quite a bit. It gives me the chance to humble myself and allows me to empty my mind and talk to God

Last week was pretty decent hunting for me. Started off Monday with a hog hunt with my Dad, we both bagged a hog. Unfortunately, we didn't get to keep the meat. His was sick and mine had been injured before and the meat was bad. Still had a good time though. Ended the week with gun season opening. Saturday we didn't see much. A couple of does. Sunday morning was COLD. We're on a lease with 4 other hunters, and the ones closest to us shot about 8 am. We see a lot of big bucks move by their stand so I was disappointed. They loaded up their kill and left. About 5 minutes after they left, the buck in my picture showed up with a doe and gave me a perfect shot. He dropped right where I shot him. Dressed out at 175, and put meat back in my freezer! Now I've just got to get a doe to go in there with him.

Well, I got a nice 8 point buck about 6:45am on Sunday morning. Unfortunately OSA has such narrow guidelines on posting picks that it won't allow me to. Still trying to figure out the 'bucket thing too. Wish I could brag a bit on him as he is a fine buck.
