As most of us know, the group at okshooters.com is very anti-open carry. I try to stay somewhat active over there to keep our side of the story in front of other gun owners in the state. There are a few from here that do the same thing. Why not get every ones here to sign up at okshooters.com and start invading their discussions, respectfully challenging their assaults on us, and generally raising the level of discussions above the name calling and drivel that appears after a few posts.
Is this a worthwhile project?

Like I've said a thousand times Open Carry people are always looking for a way to inflate their lack of ego. That's all open carry is about. A small ego.

They can sign up here. We like new members.

What I don't get about a lot of open carry advocates is their hostility towards those of us who don't want to open carry. I'm certainly not denying their right to open carry. Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. As I said in another thread, if you want to carry a brace of pistols like Josie Wales, have at it. God bless you.

Why can't those folks give the concealed carry guys the same respect?

To understand ego you really need to understand the human mind. Sometimes Open Carry might be a good thing for your ego. I think though it might be best practiced in private, in front of a mirror, totally naked. Ask yourself this, "What would Sigmund Freud do?". Would he stroke his ego in public or private?

Yep.

They also get torqued when we don't sympathize with their rant's when they get asked to leave someplace. And don't understand they aren't doing the firearms community any good by pooing so close to home. I argued with my state rep for it and I like being able to go to and from the range or ride my motorcycle without keeping it covered but I typically choose to keep it covered, out of site out of mind.

Open Carry for me is too much hard work and worry. I got enough to do. For my part I am the only person that needs to know I have a heater. For me that is the real constitutional right. I don't care if people do it. But, for goodness sake. Carry in something besides a nylon Uncle Mikes. Jezz.
