There is a little town south of eureka springs that has a hill(pretty steep grade) with a 25 MPH limit. It is called Income Hill by the towns people.

Big Cabin and Braggs are the two that come to mind for me.

If it is a little one horse town that is a real possibility. Some of the small towns I have been through have the main street with a low speed limit because so many people walk between shops.

EDIT: I looked it up on Google maps. Sat view it looks like mostly houses so you would have kids playing. 25mph is normal but 20 is not unreasonable. Do the speed limit Nancy!

Kids aren't running and playing on highway 69a immediately next to a massive industrial park.

Nice try though Rick.

I travel through there twice a week. The 20mph limit is a joke. If they were so concerned with kids playing ( which I never see), I wonder why they removed the speed bumps in the road by the swing set they call a park?

The biggest part of the speed trap is the area by the Cherokee housing complex that is 35 and drops to 20 well before you get to any housing area. The other part is the highway that is 55 mph and drops to 45 for about a 1/4 mile then goes back to 55 mph after there is no place to hide the cruiser.

The place is a joke.

OK the speed limit drop from 35 to 20 is illegal right there u can only raise or lower a speed limit by 10mph at any given time unless it is in a school zone and it has to be well marked as a school zone i think that is 15 and the speed limits has to be spaced so far apart to give ample time to slow down without haveing to slam on the brakes.
