I personally would respond to what I deemed an out-of-line request with something similar. Like 243 bucks and I get to watch you and you wife whip each other or something.

Low ball offers are a part of life, grow up. My Dad would low balled all the time, got a lot of good deals. I will because so many people think there crap is worth something. And if you haven't sold it, it's probably priced to high. I won't charge you all for this advice. There are people on this site who keep listing there stuff over and over for the same price, hey, you are asking to much. Or, maybe they don't want to sell. Now, the other option to think about is the seller is looking for a sucker, and there are a lot of them out there. What you should do is just ignore them. Sometimes the best advice is free. This is free. LOL Go to college and pay for education and don't learn this much.
The reason I posted here is because I want to post on all the classified ads that repeat over and over for the same price and low ball there over priced guns. But I will probably get a slap on the hand from the people who run this place. My dad told me, you work hard for your money, make every penny count, get everything for the best price you can. A little advice RickN, and anybody else who wants it, take it or leave it.

Someone who wants to "make every penny count" wouldn't lowball other people because that mentality assumes other people don't value their own money. Time is also money, so wasting someone's time with an insultingly low offer is also a disregard for how others treat their money.
Lowballers are just playing a numbers game and there's no virtue in that.
I have a vehicle in my driveway that needs engine work and I have been putting off trying to sell it, especially on CL or FB because of the tire kickers and no shows.
I can put up with lowball offers but the idiots that want to set up a meeting and not show up tend to piss me off.
