Hokas are great and as far as hiking and what not, I have a pair of Salomon Predicts, they’re light, comfortable and kinda look like sneakers…I rock them with shorts most of the time.
That and leather soled shoes with cork and leather insoles. Keeps you grounded to planet earth. I may at some point transition from the Keens to an all-leather/cork footgear.Isn’t going barefoot the best overall? I wonder how all of these cushions became so important.
It is. I had problems with my feet until 2015 when I switched to sandals. I rarely wear shoes/boots unless I'm at work.Isn’t going barefoot the best overall? I wonder how all of these cushions became so important.
My whole life I’ve seen overweight people buy tons of different cushion shoes and non stop talk about their arches and support they need. Then they waddle around on pillows and have foot problems their entire lives. It is. I had problems with my feet until 2015 when I switched to sandals. I rarely wear shoes/boots unless I'm at work.
I have a pair of Salomon X-Ultras that are pretty comfortable - recommended by a 7th Group Captain (now Lt. Colonel).I wear Keen Newports almost exclusively. You can't beat them and they'll last for a few summers. I work in them, shoot in them, landscape, garden, hike, swim, etc. I'll throw some good wool hikers (like Farm to Feet) on and go hunting with them until it gets in the low 2 digits.
