Alex Jones is the big guy who pulls the strings. He has the Gateway guys plant the stories that he and Drudge link to.
I wouldn't say that he owns him as such. The one hand washes the other. They have interests in common, and everybody understands his role. The one serves as a Gateway to the other, like a gateway drug to the harder stuff
