2010 Rut Report

Just got my new issue of Outdoor life. It has a chart in there, where they looked at the harvest results in different states. There were over 74000 records compared. For Okla, it said the peak day of the rut, should be Nov 12.

Perfect! Thats the week i'm taking off of work.

I was coyote hunting wed. Seen three bucks hanging out at one my places, then this morning went out to a different spot (7miles east of the other) yote hunting again and seen two bucks walking together from the food plot...noble county, take it as you will.

Had a dandy 10 point following a doe this evening at the house. The doe jumped the fence to get to the apple tree. the buck stood there, and decided he didn't want to come into the yard, and left. Its starting

Also seen nice 8pt thus morning cruising just out of range. He was by himself.

Just got back in, and saw several bucks trying to get close to does. The does would scamper off.

Seen a lot of doe groups. Only two bucks and the were just eating the wheat.

younger bucks chasing the does around. does are not receptive yet. when they are, next week or so, the big boys oughtta come out.

I've seen a bachelor group yesterday morning, and a young buck chasing a doe this Morning - no big racks yet. That's in Harper county.

I saw plenty of small bucks this weekend. All traveling by themselves. Very vocal (grunting), but no signs of seeking or chasing.
