Anyone have load data for a Marlin lever, IMR 4198, and jacketed RNFP 300 gr.? I’m finding a big swing in ranges so I’m trying to narrow it down. I just need a good solid, no bs kinda load, factory type, not too hot, not too weak.

I have Xtreme 300 gr rnfp, I’m thinking about trying 43 grains of IMR4198, as a middle-of-the-road. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you so very much. I’m thinking now, my thoughts of going 43 gr of IMR 4198 is just right. I’ve been told on other sites to only use trapdoor loads. But on that he classifies my Marlin 1895 as strong, up there with Ruger 1s. Although I have no desire to load those super hot loads, as I said I am only looking for mid-level loads. I just want a good load for range, that is also good for hunting. If I got to making different loads for different situations I would just confuse my old pea sized brain. Just easier to stick to one or 2 loads that work for any situation.
Thank you again, it is so very much appreciated.

Sorry I forgot to add the last pic with the Group 3 loads. It's a great book if you can find one and like to load old and odd cartridges.
