because it's not a musket? Why not shoot twice?

I think a 1911 might be my next gun, way down the road, so I'm interested too. I also only have 9mm (and a little .380) at the house, so hopefully you get some good suggestions. I'm not ruling out .45, but I don't shoot often enough to want to store more than I have to. There are plenty of threads on the big hole punchers, though.

No need to stock another caliber when I'm already reloading for 9mm and have a decent stash of loaded and components.

Just a thought, after you get the 9mm. I assure you you will want more then one 1911, get you a 38 super barrel and have it fitted.

Lot of good options in 9mm, just have to find one that fits you, price range..

RIA's are nice, Ive had good luck with the Taurus too..(45 though) the Spartan would definatley be in the top

Lots of folks use only one or two calibres, thats all good , if thats what you want to do.

I try to keep something in Most calibres, and have ,some, ammo I have no guns for.

If I can get it cheap, or in a trade...

I like the 38 super barrell change ,,, twoguns? in one...

I have had good luck with the 9mm RIA 1911 full size. Very accurate, always reliable with Metalform magazines.

If went 9mm in that platform I'd go with a 2011 frame to take advantage of the 9mm capacity.
