I've got a 686-M that I paid far, far too much for more than 15 years ago. Now it's worth 4 times what I paid for it.

It came with box etc, and looked like it had spent it's time in a sock drawer.

I love mine, and yours too.

I've got one too but with the round butt.
I am told they only made the 4" no dash round butt for the border patrol and would be marked as such.....mine is not......so I suspect someone changed the barrel before I became the caretaker.
Never the less.....one of my absolute favorites.

I posted a while back about a couple Smith & Wessons. Picked up two holsters today from Bret Collier (also from this site). Nice work! Big holster but fits the hip well.

I had no idea Brett did carving. I've seen several of his holsters, met him and spoke with him at his booth at Wanenmacher.

I don't recall seeing any carved leather.
