I got 4 of the 6 ten round magazines I ordered for my new CZ 457 and the scope Mount and extended mag release.

Decided just for fun to see how cheaply I could put together a short 300 Blackout AR. PSA had their "short barrels" on sale really cheap last fall (thank you ATF). Scrounged up just about everything else from fellow members on here (thank you). Finally picked up the last bits over the weekend and got it all assembled. I'm about $450 all in with the Amazon red dot. Probably could have purchased one on here for not much more, but would not been as much fun.

Well, major progress happened today,,,
I went to the PO and it was like Christmas.

Sorry for the fuzzy picture,,,
My camera is acting up.

I couldn't resist opening the boxes and messing with the parts,,,
Jamie Lee Catus quickly claimed it as her own property.

It's on the floor and therefore in her private domain,,,
She owns the stuff as long as it's down there..

1) Magpul MOE X-22 Stock. It did come with the insert for the .920 barrel
2) UUQ M-lock bi-pod. Not as nice as I hoped it would be but for the time being it'll be okay.
3) Shaw 18" .920 Barrel. Dang it's heavy but it does look proportional.
4) Vortex 2-8x32 scope with BDC reticle. (Thanks ChiefSapulpa).
5) 3-pack of Ruger BX-1 magazines.

This is lacking only the receiver/action assembly from sapoutfitters,,,
But for all that my friend has done for me this past year,,,
It's a well deserved "Thank You" gift.

Finally figured out the threads and found a cap for the Aussie Gill-gun.
It's 1/2x20 RH (US is 1/2x28 RH). I found a thread protector for a CZ 455 that fit perfectly.

I got it with bare threads.

First i found a nut that fit.

Then I was able to find a proper cap on eBay.
It sure makes it look a whole lot better.

I'll be honest here, I'da stopped at finding the nut that fit.

5 minutes at the bench grinder, a few squirts of black spray paint... Done!
