Anyone have a source for dates of manufacture by serial number for the Armalite AR-7 Survival rifle?
It is an Armalite, Costa Mesa and it has a camouflage stock. No scope mount. Serial number 664**. This is a photo with a 15 round magazine (not the original). The original magazine was in the butt stock when this was taken. The barrel on this rifle was sanded leaving part of the original finish. I plan to refinish the barrel with some DuraCoat later on.Do you have a Costa Mesa ArmaLite ?
What color is the stock brown, green, marbled or black?
Is yours a ArmaLite, a Charter arms, a AR7 industries or a Henry?
Old ones have no scope mount provisions. newer ones have 3/8 dovetail on top.
I haven't actually tested the 15 rounder since I got it. There is a problem with it though. Even though it is locked in it moves up ad downhow well does the 15 round mag work? what brand?
I think I will just stay with the standard mags for the AR-7. If I need more, I have 25 rnd mags for my 10/22Nope, no name or markings anywhere on the magazine.
Is there a way to break it down further by serial number? What year between 1959 and 1973. My serial number is 66486.
