This will hurt smaller businesses more than it will larger corporations. There are companies that take a shot in the dark on $500k expenses and this will only impact them if they supply smaller companies who rely on this break to buy equipment. In the end we will be heavily relying on foreign work to produce due to a limited growth of domestic capability. People will be divided even more and they will again push us into an us vs them mentality on people who have jobs or make more than others.

I guess it depends on your definition of small business. In agriculture, $25K won't buy you a pot to piss in, let alone a new tractor--and in some cases, it wouldn't even make the down payment on a used tractor. Cat probably has enough overseas demand for their product that they'll be OK, but Deere, CNH, et al, could take big hits.

A: Start with a big one.
