I would consider backing out if someone asked me to put pen to paper on a private gun sale.

Why would you back out?

I have no desire to fill out a bill of sale and would probably walk out on the deal. It's not required by law and I have no desire to sign one or give anyone any of my information, unless it is legally required.

I have mixed feelings about this. I've always thought that as a seller I would want a buyer to sign a bill of sell, but as a buyer I agree with bsmith.
