Anyone see the Blackhawk flying tight circles over Southern BA last evening? It appeared to be doing combat maneuvers over 111th and Elm area. It was flying at close to a 90 degree angle doing repeated circles about 150 ft in the air. My dad is the one saw this and told me about it, but there is nothing on the news so I thought I would see if anyone else here had some insight.

People always report helicopters at "100-150ft". LOL There's a guard unit that flys them close to owasso. I highly doubt they were doing any sort of maneuvers at 150ft over a populated area though.

It was probably getting ready to light up the BA casino that they appear to be moving forward with despite not having approval.

I understand your doubt, but this is coming from retired AF flight line manager/aircraft mechanic, so he should have a pretty good gauge of what was going on. It was over a populated area (he was close enough to see inside the open door of the chopper), and there have been very similar exercises in other cities that did make it in the news: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2012...ary-maneuvers-in-the-skies-above-downtown-la/

I am wondering if anyone actually DID see it.

I'm close by. Didn't see it, but I've kinda gotten used to hearing some loud choppers around here to be frank. I heard one the other day go over that rattled the windows pretty good. I wouldn't doubt it at all.

They were just doing training maneuvers. There are no altitude restrictions on helicopters regardless of population density. Max angle of bank in a UH60 is 60 degrees.
