Yet there were some things the founders were fairly adamant about like the Bill of Rights. The arguments against the BoR being in the constitution tended to be that the rights contained within were so self evident writing them down would be waste of parchment.

If you have been lurking here so long you should know this belongs in the 2a forum! When criminals follow the rules oh that's right they don't hence the term criminal.
