.454 is still a .45 caliber weapon. If you research, most ".45" is not exactly .4500000. It may vary depending from 45 ACP to 45 Colt to 454 Casull to 460 S&W Magnum to 45 Schofield. Actual measurements range from .450 to .451 to .452 to .454

And in rifle rounds, 45-70 and the 458 SOCOM are both generally .458.

Larger Diameter rounds take up more space so in a same sized frame you get more bullets with smaller diameter bullets. I would choose a balance between power and number of shots in an easily concealable and easily maneuverable platform. Bigger for me is not always better, to the OP do you prefer to carry a larger round just in general?

You guys forget the lawmakers reason for this provision......... They didn't want the .50 Desert Eagle "tank busters" being carried!!!!!!

Oh and the law restricts .45 as the maximum...... notice TWO signifigant figures.... so .454 is .45 by their definition, mathematically.
