I believe a full scale revolt will be the only thing to stop this machine because nobody has bothered to do anything about it in the past and let it snowball, they chose to just stand by and listen to those people who say you need to go and vote and make a difference, well, look where that got us. Who hasn't heard the quote by Jefferson, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"? Thinking that voting is going to do anything but just slow the inevitable is foolish. We have people in our own group saying everything is going to be fine 20-30-40 years from now just as it was 20-30-40 years ago, there were people who said those same things over 200 years ago to our founding fathers, I'm glad they didn't listen, there were few who could have gone on and chose to be violated by the British while the majority would have been fine, this sounds much like it is today.

I forgot who it was here in the thread about secession who jumped on those talking about actually seceding from the U.S. made a lot of sense. Secede, no way, this is America, people fought and died for it, ours friends and relatives, why would someone want to walk away from something like that and just give it up?

Am i really that forgettable? That is probably a good thing.
The next civil upheaval wont be over guns, it will be over gubment entitlement checks bouncing. We lawful gun owners generally have the presence of mind not held by the dependent sycophants of this country. When they stop getting their checks they will take to the streets. Im not saying we wont be dragged into it, but i bet we run out of money before we run out of guns.

The Three Topics that guarantee a successful thread on OSA:

1. Civil War fantasies
2. Obama phones
3. Welfare

Works every time. No big secret there.

...and now add Civil War fantasy threads that actually aren't about civil war at least not in the OP.

Maybe not. The military dislikes the direction this country is going in as much as we dislike it. Besides, isn't most of our military personnel from the "flyover" states.

A secession of the "flyover" states would be great! Who needs the "left coast" and the "eastern jackovs"? Lol

I agree with the sentiment, but I just can't get one thing off my mind about it. Remember that video from Katrina of the guardsman (men) going around happily taking guns from people? From what I understand, that particular guardsman was part of the Oklahoma National Guard... just following orders, you understand.

Is it possible that this could happen in the "United States"? Iv noticed lately that the "U.S." govt. is doing very disturbing things without explanation to why. If a govt. was umm lets say censoring speech for example or prohibiting you from asking "why?" would it or could it lead to something big that could possibly bite them in the rear end later on?

An unfortunate fact about human nature is that there are certain personality types who seek out positions of authority, and not all of them are people who are cut out for such positions. Some are wise, conscientious, and intellectually honest people who are genuinely trying to make life more enjoyable for themselves and others. They typically have no problem explaining why they made a particular call, because they have nothing to hide about their motivation, and when they do make a bad call, they apologize and make it right.

Others are narcissistic, bullying $hitbirds who get pleasure simply from being able to control other people because it makes them feel better about their selves (who they typically secretly have a pretty low regard for). This type of person will be insulted at any suggestion that he explain himself. This type of person never admits wrongdoing because he sees it as a sign of weakness, rather than wisdom (it has to do with the secretly low self esteem thing). Rather than admit to a bad call, this type of person will ignore it if he thinks he can get away with it, or if he can't, will either come up with a strained justification for it, or try to deflect by pointing out someone else's alleged wrongdoing. People of this sort are good at kissing ass and looking good to those in authority over them, so they are hard for their superiors to root out.

Nevertheless, it is vital to good leadership to root these personality types out. It is a tough job, but nobody ever said leadership was supposed to be easy.

Well, I do think something like this may happen. Also, here's a little snippet about the SCOTUS. Lot more to it on the website.

Supplemental brief for the Supreme Court of the United States
Posted on | February 9, 2013 |
IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
CASE #A-12606
NOONAN ET AL V BOWEN
SUPPLEMENTAL BRIEF OF NEWLY DISCOVERED EVIDENCE

Case at hand is scheduled to be heard on February 16, 2013 in a conference of all the justices of the Supreme Court of the United States.

This case came from the Supreme Court of California and was brought by Presidential Candidates: Edward Noonan, Thomas Gregory MacLeran and Keith Judd against the Secretary of the State of California, seeking to stay the certification of the votes for the candidate for the U.S. President Barack Obama due to the fact that the aforementioned candidate committed fraud when he provided his declaration of the candidate and when the Democratic party submitted the certificate of the nomination due to the fact that Barack Obama is not eligible for the position, as he is not a Natural born U.S. citizen, as required by the U.S. Constitution Article 2, section 1, §5. The declaration of the candidate and the certification of the nomination were based on fraud, on Obama’s use of forged IDs, , stolen Connecticut social Security number 042-68-4425, use of a name that was not legally his use of Indonesian citizenship and based on aiding and abetting by corrupt governmental officials. most notable example of criminal aiding and abetting was signing by the chair of the Democratic Party of Hawaii Brian Schatz a falsified OCON (official certificate of nomination of a candidate) where the usual wording “eligible according to the provisions of the U.S. constitution” were removed in order to accommodate ineligible Obama.

Plaintiffs provided the Supreme Court of California and the Supreme Court of the United States with over 100 pages of official records, sworn affidavits of senior law enforcement officials and experts showing that Barack Obama is:

1. A citizen of Indonesia, as listed in his school registration #203 from Assisi school in Jakarta Indonesia. As a citizen of Indonesia Obama was never eligible and never legitimate for the U.S. Presidency.

2. Obama is using last name not legally his. Plaintiffs provided this court with the passport records of Stanley Ann Dunham, deceased mother of Barack Obama, showing that he is listed under the last name Soebarkah in her passport. He was removed from her passport in August of 1969 pursuant to the request and sworn statement of Ms. Dunham and signed by the U.S. consul in Jakarta Indonesia. As the requirement for removal as listed in the passport, is obtaining a foreign allegiance, it is believed that Barack Obama Soebarkah was removed from his mother’s passport when he obtained his Indonesian passport. Barack Obama cannot not serve as a U.S. president as the legal entity Barack Obama does not exist. The only legal entity based on the only verifiable record is Barack Obama Soebarkah.

3. Obama does not have a valid U. S birth certificate. Plaintiff provided affidavits from Sheriff of Maricopa County Arizona Joseph Arpaio, Investigator Zullo, experts Felicito Papa, Douglas Vogt, Paul Irey, showing that the image posted by Obama on Whitehouse.gov is a computer generated forgery. When there is a question of authenticity of a document, the only way to authenticate, is to conduct expert evaluation of the original document. Registrar of the State of Hawaii and Director of Health and Deputy Attorney General of Hawaii in charge of the Health Department were obstructing justice and absolutely refused to comply with any subpoenas and produce the original 1961 birth certificate and as such there was never any authentication of the alleged birth certificate. After 4 years of obstruction of Justice, it is clear that the Hawaiian officials have nothing to show and genuine 1961 birth certificate for Barack Obama simply does not exist.

Obama does not have a valid Selective Service certificate. Based on the affidavit of Sheriff Arpaio and investigator Zullo, alleged copy of Obama’s Selective Service Certificate, is COMPUTER GENERATED FORGERY. In this supplemental brief Plaintiffs are providing additional evidence, a sworn affidavit from the Chief investigator of the Special investigations unit of the US Coast Guard (ret) and former special agent of the DHS Jeffrey Stephan Coffman who attested under the penalty of perjury that Obama’s alleged selective service registration is a forgery.

biker, every judge that has heard those arguments has quietly dismissed everything. if they rule against the oligarchy, they commit suicide by shooting themselves in the back of the head twice. the entire system is corrupt and evil.

the oligarchs are above the law......laws are for us little people.

Never be a full scale revolt unless all the cable, smart phones and internet was shut down at the same time. Remember the movie 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'. People are to distracted to pay much attention to anything these days.

Exactly. And it won't be a "civil war", it will be civil unrest. It's why I mentioned earlier that we are already past the point of no return; no nation can have our debt, our drop off in manufacturing, our GDP, a rapidly-growing dependant class, and all the rest of our financial balancing act and survive in perpetuity. If it wasn't for the fact that the dollar is the world's reserve currency, we'd have already sh*t the bed. And as we settle in for another night of prime time dumbing down on the tele, China and other nations are working to bypass the dollar. And when that happens? So long, 'Merica. The Fed Reserve will pump out dollars (with interest) like there's no tomorrow to try and keep the nation's head above water, resulting in hyperinflation (Weimar German style) We'll go into a financial tailspin, the EBT cards can't be filled, Social Security checks quit coming, and on and on. State and local services grind to a halt, there will be bank runs, and all hell will break loose. It's not a fantasy, history has it's examples, and not that long ago. And history also didn't have electronic money that can disappear from accounts with the tap of a 'delete' key. It's pretty minor so far in Europe, and take a look at some of the early action in Greece. The potential for unrest is a whole lot worse here - and in my opinion - one of the reasons they're grasping at anything to accelerate gun bans, etc. The trainwreck may be closer than many of us want to admit.

There's no "fantasy" here; it concerns the hell out of me. I worry for my kids.
