Obama said almost the same thing. Every anti-gun politician says that for all practical purposes. They have to. They can't just come out and say I don't trust the public. We've got to take their guns away lest they rise up and kill all us politicians.
Get her to say something to the effect of: The 2nd amendment means what it says about the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
The 2nd doesn't say a word about the right of law abiding citizens to protect themselves. That's weasel talk for you can have a gun to protect yourself but only in your home and only the gun I say you can have.
Askins is a typical demonrat.
We can widen that race my friend, a lot of people aren't reaching the candidates they are saying they will vote for Askins. I have changed several peoples minds, so it's very important that we get the word out

I'm so burned out by the endless stuff they send that I rarely open the envelopes, especially the ones with the "Collectable" medallions that they want me to pay for or ship back. The money spent on mailings could be better used by paying for escort service for legislators and video data cards.
Good to know about the Fallin/ Askins race. I'm looking at the next push for open carry. Henry and others showed their true colors on the last go-round.
Mary Fallin...fighting big government except for the $700B she voted to give to the banks, the $8000 tax credit she voted for to try to reinflate the housing bubble, the unemployment extensions (welfare) that she voted for, etc, etc, etc.
She may be the "lesser of two evils" but don't let that fool you. She's just another politician that votes certain ways when it is convenient and people are looking. Right now people (probably especially in OK) are looking for someone who wants reduced govt, so she will run on that platform. Her voting past sure doesn't support that except for the time Obama has been in office where partisan politics plays a big role.
That being said, both candidates suck and it is a shame Brogdon didn't get put through.
