1. outdoor lights with motion sensors. nothing a thief hates more than lights coming on and drawing attention plus you want lots of light, not walking in the dark.
2. the old works boots is also a good idea, size 13+ even better.
3. a very bright flashlight, Wally-world has a 3000 lumens hand held light for $35.
4. a good quality (S&W, Ruger, etc) .38 or .357 revolver. just a minimal amount of training needed and some practice.
5. BEAR SPRAY, not wasp spray. a SUPERSOAKER loaded with bleach would be better.
very strong believer in the blinding flashlight and laser. blinded by light and then a red dot appears on chest, can't see who is behind the trigger and don't care; it is time to vacate and look for easier targets.
