Yes, which is exactly why you should buy lots and lots of magazines so that you only cycle them occasionally. It is much better to have 20 mags and shoot them each once at the range than to have one mag and shoot it 20 times.:thumbup3:

Actually, I think that the point of the original post was that if you sit there and load and unload the magazine on a routine basis (like once a day) you are much more likely to screw up the spring than if you leave it loaded for 10 years.

Personally, with the amount of rounds that most people put thru their firearms, I don't think many folks really have to worry about wearing out the mag springs UNLESS they play with them on a daily basis.

I'm not sure I remember the last factory mag that I tossed due to a faulty spring after repeated use.
