It's not. The calories from butter aren't as bad as the breading and submersion in vegetable oil. Seriously, a pat of butter is only like 30-49 calories if I remember correctly.

And 2.6 grams saturated fat (13% daily value).
But I guess it is not as bad as it seems as long as you use the butter to cook and not eat the residual butter left in the pan.

There's nothing inherently bad about the fat in butter. The carbs and corn/vegetable oils are arguably worse.
