I heard Obama... he's grabbing the low hanging fruit which is more gun control rather than focusing on reacting to the warning signs that these whack jobs show prior to carrying out these heinous acts.

According to the source close to the investigation, authorities are looking at social media posts between a person they believe may have been the shooter, and others.

The conversation happened Wednesday night on 4chan.

In it, the writer talks about planning to carry out a shooting. Others egg him on, giving him suggestions on how to do it, and the type of weapons to use.

The responses are mixed -- with some users characterizing the would-be gunman as a pathetic loser. Others called him a twisted hero.

In the posts, there is a reference to the UC Santa Barbara shooter, who wrote a manifesto and videoed himself before opening fire a year ago.

"This is the only time I'll ever be in the news. I'm so insignificant," reads an apparent post by the would-be Oregon gunman.

Are you kidding? You can not be serious? The bodies are not cold yet and you are implying some malice because they have not posted baby pics of the shooter yet. How about you ask Ryan Lanza why.

No, Yes, Yes (not because of not showing baby pics, maybe the name, as it has been reported that the jackass made threats last night about doing this, and nothing was done about it), and last but not least so what, he didn't do a damn thing to stop his brother, and probably had an idea about it, even if he didn't think that he would do it.

As far as a realistic law that would work, I'm for laws regulating gun free zones. They don't work unless you enter through a check point (with armed persons doing the check). If you want a gun free zone then take the appropriate measures to insure it is and remains so. Just putting up a sign with a red line across the image of a glock does not make the zone gun free. It becomes a neon sign advertising easy targets.

Also do away with plea deals for crimes of violence, unless the deal includes a sentence that at least 9/10ths of the max for the crime with out the possibility of parole.
