We definitely need a National Grammar Day. As southerners many of our citizens tend to make another very common mistake which I've noticed over the last 8 years due to the internet forum explosion.
SALE and SELL. it's not "for sell", it's for SALE. If you're the one getting rid of the item, you are the seller.
I'm assuming it's primarily a diction/"southern accent" related issue. I've noticed it from folks as far West as New Mexico all the way back to the Carolinas/Virginia and south into Florida .
