Yeah! I was sitting right next to his son! Shot thru the knee! Dealer had put his personal carry HK P7 on the table and removed the magazine. Didn't remove the one in the chamber. Squeeze cocker HK P7 will fire without the magazine!! I was out of business for hours until all the yellow tape was removed by OKCPDI was at a gun show at the OKC fairgrounds years back where a dealer or his son got shot in the leg by a customer who was looking at a handgun. I seemed to remember people saying it was the dealers personal CC gun or something.
I was handed a loaded gun, not chambered, at a lgs. The employee didn’t check. I did.

Instead of the back door they should drag em through the show and put them on a wall of shame for remainder of show.
I'm not surprised by this. I watched the idiot behind the counter try for 30 seconds to rotate a bolt handle on a Steyr M95 which is a straight pull bolt rifle. I took it front him and yanked it right open. This was after he gave me a BS history lesson about the rifle to try to show how much he knew about them.Had a dude at Gun World hand me an A-5 that was magazine loaded & the cutoff was engaged.
He opened the bolt and handed it to me. I pointed it at the floor and rolled it over and saw the brass. I told him it was loaded and he said, “no it’s not, I opened the action”. So, I rolled it back over, made sure the safety was on, put the butt on my thigh, dropped the cutoff lever and it rammed one into the chamber. I had the ejection port aimed at his counter top, and I grabbed the bolt and worked it really fast, throwing the shells onto and off his glass counter top until the bolt stayed open. I said, “yeah it was” and handed it back to him.
He got all excited with the other guy behind the counter and I left. I’ve never been back.
Morons.
No !@#! I did end up with some blood stained jeans. The poor kid had just started school at OUWow! It could have been your knee!
Story goes that when my dad was a young guy, an mom was pregnant with me they had some friends over. Dad was playing with a .22, and pointed it at my mom. One of his friends jumped him about it, and he said "It's empty!" Pointed it at the window and pulled the trigger. Blew the window out. He was much better about trigger discipline by the time I grew up enough to learn it myself. He had just turned 18 a few months before I was born, and mom turned 16 the month after. I'll be 67 next month. I don't know the friend's name, but I'm glad he didn't ignore dad's stupid behavior.Sadly, my experience as well.
Dad was a stickler for gun safety (treat every gun as loaded), so I figured anyone with firearms was raised the same way. Didn't take me long to find out that was NOT the case...
