Not exactly. Speed vs. velocity is basic physics: speed is a scalar and velocity is a vector (as Paul put it in the video, a speed with a direction), so they are different, but the difference is really only important for physics. If you're calculating/computing the trajectory the difference matters (the forward velocity is a composite of horizontal and vertical velocities), but if you're shooting, not so much.Is speed the new ‘pronoun’ for velocity?!
