Rifle season.

What are you using for rifle season this year?

I am taking my Remington 700 in 30.06 with a Bushnell Elite 4200.

I have seen a 12 point buck on my property a couple times, I hope to get him in my crosshairs this year..

I have still yet to see a shooter buck this year.

I've got two options depending on which location I'm goung to be at.

Remington 700 in. 308 (heavy prone shooter) for setting up on a hill top and an AR for climbing up in a stand in another spot.

OK, I know I'm wierd, but every deer season, I have a theme platform.

Last year it was the Military guns. This year it will be the classic conventional bolt guns in 06 and .270.
Next year will be the varmint guns with deer sized bullets, and so on.
No safe queens in my crib.
Everything has to draw blood.....

Im an wierdo as well. I use my 300wsm in my box over looking a bottom. I use my AR 7.62x39 in the woods and then i have a few ladder stands that i use my 243 in. Iv been wanting to try out my 223 as well but who knows.

Taking rem 700 bdl 30.06 on public land. Hope the one that made a rub on a 8in tree during bp comes by while I'm there.

Model 700 chambered in .308 for the most part. I do have a couple of stands that work well for the Marlin 30-30 with iron sights.

I hammered several does with the .223 last year....they died, and didn't seen any more run-off than any other caliber.
