I worked as a salaried employee for 39 years - usually had 10 days annual sick leave (which could be used for illness of a family member) + 5 days personal leave that rolled into accumulated sick leave if not used by the end of the fiscal year. No overtime/no time clock- go home when the jobs done. If I needed to run to town or back home for something just let supervisor know I'll be gone a little while.
