Should some Oklahomans be exempt from the state's income tax?

On March 8, 1965, 3,500 United States Marines came ashore at Da Nang as the first wave of U.S. combat troops into South Vietnam, adding to the 25,000 U.S. military advisers already in place.

70-80 years ago was 1944-1954, if my iPhone calculator is correct

When did the US start drafting for Vietnam? Looks like 1964? I found the Vietnam draft dates 1964-1973.

If beautiful mulberry and pbramble would mind letting us know how old you are it would be appreciated. I’m really curious. I’m afraid all I’ll get are snarky, sarcastic comments….but I thought I’d ask anyway. Thanks.

I'm 50ish. From the long lost land or responsibility, latch key kids and play outside til the street lights come on. Well, we didn't have any street lights where I lived, so be home by dark.

I don't know that the reference to cheating would apply to all tribal members. From what I've read, some of the tribes have an agreement or contract with the state, but some other tribes tags are "technically" not valid on Oklahoma roads.

Right. I remember that dust up about some tribes not sharing vehicle registration data with the state. I believe the Cherokee, Chickasaw and Choctaws supposedly share this data currently.

So the disabled who get .gov assistance shouldn't be asked to pay taxes? Then cut the assistance. That's a two way street. Nobody forced them to sign that line. They volunteered.
No, I don’t think disabled combat veterans should, 100 percent that is. I should have worded better in my original post.

yep, also if you get a refund because you over payed its then also taxed.
I think thats whats caused a lot of the problems, the gov's got to much money.
voting should be in the same month as paying taxes, while is fresh on your mind.
That is a very good idea. I don’t see the politicians going to do anything like that though.

Any old person is a boomer. You can circle jerk all you want acting like you dont know what I’m talking about.
So what do you physically do within society to help against this tyrannical government that’s spreading propaganda/ socialism to our youth?
My guess…nothing. Just like most here.
In many post Iv asked how many of you boomers I mean old ppl actually get out and converse with todays youth? Not many. Ppl talk about father or motherless homes
Where’s all the old ppl that is suppose to have all the wisdom? Why are they not out talking to their our families friends families?
I’m not a Boomer, or old person by many. I’m over the hump in later mid-life. As to talking to younger generation I did for 20 years as an educator and coach. I still talk to young kids and adults when I can so I can try to understand them and offer knowledge if I can. I believe most older people do too but at some point the younger generation don’t want to listen, they know better because they are of the tech age. They want it now and don’t want to work for something, they get on their smart phone and go to wiki or some like site that is flawed to get it. My years growing up was outside exploring, sports, etc but today it’s video games and the latest tech. In hs we were lucky enough to have vehicles we could wrench on ourselves and not have to have a smart computer to tell us what was wrong with the vehicles, and we could afford to do it. My point is kids today figure things out differently than we did. A lot of things change and evolve, some for the better and some for the worse.

Calling people, generational wise, out like you are makes me wonder what you, and your generation, have done to stop what is going on in the country? Are you running for office? Are you volunteering in little league programs to influence the future? Are you leading a scout troop to help influence the future? Or do you, and your generation, just want things changed and handed out without helping to make the change you want? I know for a fact that younger generations have people who are working for change for the better as I have seen them, and talked to them. The other side of the coin is that as our older generations that have been working for our ideas get older and step out there are less of the younger generations stepping in for our ideas, and are being out worked by those who want to change, destroy, our way of life by changing the political scene. So who should be blamed for the things that have gone wrong- as I see it past generations, current generations, and the generations that are coming up in the ranks. We ALL are taking a bite of the s*** pie and are trying to do the best we can with it.

I agree. Yes I do plan to run for local then state representative. I’m currently working with the higher ups as my mentors, R-V/chair and others atm.
As far as what I do I just made a post a page or 2 back outlining some of what I do. I’m pro constitution, I support all human rights. It’s someone’s right to be wrong, doesn’t mean I have to agree or as long as it’s not forced down society’s throat.
