A dishonorable discharge is not a felony conviction.

It's treated as one by many, if not most, states, as well as fed.gov. Among other things, a DD is a preclusion to firearms ownership. 18 U.S.C. 922 (g)(6).

Further, a DD can only be handed down by a general court martial, so there would have to be some underlying UCMJ offense to give her one.

Is she a jerk? Yes. Should we treat her like a felon? No.

I am sure she is getting a lot of Sergeant Major tutelage (I was going to say "SGM Love" but given the hyper-sensitivity to anything that sounds like sexual harrassment it seemed like a bad way to go) right now.
