Just saw a trailer for this. Looks interesting...especially the part that CA and TX are allies in a secession movement and go to war with the US. Has some pretty big names, too.

Saw this last night. It was surprisingly apolitical and pretty good.

A24 films is known for producing films that differ from mainstream Hollywood, usually psychological thrillers and off-color stuff, so it’s actually not surprising they DIDN’T do what mainstream would’ve done and turned it into some polarizing political commentary.

It’s not really a war movie that focuses on the cause of the war, or even really any details of the war, as much as it’s a story about a group of reporters trying to make their way through the front lines, from NYC to Washington DC., hoping to get an interview with the President before he is captured or killed.

People who walk around looking to be offended will find something to gripe about I’m sure but it was entertaining.
