This. Unless the modifications were done by a world-class gunsmith and you have solid documentation of that, the value will take a hit.

yes, I do get that, and I don't have any documentation, but it is a very nice gun.

Ok, I'm guessing that you are referring to "membership" and I've taken care of that now. Sorry, It was not my intent to even bend the rules. But, thanks for giving me a heads up... now you guys have to put up with me for at least a year. LOL

There is some wear on the bluing and very minor issue right next to the grip, but it does not show up in pics well.

It's not a 1947 vintage. It's definitely a WWI-era gun. Colt's website lists it as made in 1918.
