Took my daughter to the gun range.

Took my 11yr old daughter to the gun range yesterday for her first time shooting. I caught this pic of her shooting the walther p22 that we rented for her. She shot my XD9sc too but had more fun with the .22

Train up a child in the way she should go, and even when she's old she won't depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Lots of dry firing and running through stuff in the days leading up. When we rented that P22 she said... Are the "buttons" all like yours? :-) I said, pretty much. She was nervous bc all of the loud guns firing all around but she racked the slide, took aim, and pow. She loved it. I loved shooting with her too. One of those proud dad days.

Enjoy these moments while you can. My daughters are 28 and 24, one married and one engaged. Both like to shoot, though! My youngest has a Walther p22 and actually got her CCW with it. Miss the days when they were younger, they went by so fast.

Way to go! I love taking my daughter to the range. She really likes shooting my Dan Wesson .357 with 6" bbl, and heavy, ribbed shroud.
