Most of the above are good. I have an Android and Primarily use the Weather Channel for forecasts and Radar Express. Good radar updated fairly quickly with the ability to tap for the NWS text for a quick look.

Being a ham radio operator, I also use this site: http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en for live lightning strikes. Almost instantaneous with a ring you can turn on for the sound wave from the lightning strike. My system is usually about 5 seconds slow because of my slow internet connection.
