I would have thought that someone at least would have tried one of these, guess not. So let me be the guinea pig on this little adventure. Not a big fan of long buffer tubes on AR pistols and didn’t want a folder or a Jakl style pistol so I got one of these 3.5 inch buffers and tried it out today. Instructions say to use a FA bolt carrier because a SA bolt carrier would not function reliably. First couple round functioned OK but ejection was tame and piled brass about 5 inches to the side. Then I started having election problems about 50 percent of the time. Not my first rodeo with testing new builds I just happened to bring a SA bolt carrier along. Shot about 30 rounds with 100 percent reliably and strong extraction at 2:00. This might just work out.
